NHB ‘Residex’: Housing Prices soars at most cities of India

As per NHB Residex, Housing prices have soared maximum in Mumbai and Delhi in October – December 2012 quarter compared to last quarter. Out of 20 cities tracked by NHB ‘Residex’, prices have dropped in only two cities — Faridabad and Indore.

Here is the increase in prices from Q3 – 2012 to Q4 – 2012:

  1. Mumbai – 9.6 %
  2. Delhi – 9.6 %
  3. Patna – 9.4 %
  4. Kolkata – 9.4 %
  5. Kochi – 8.8 %
  6. Surat – 8.7 %
  7. Bengaluru – 8.2 %
  8. Lucknow – 8 %
  9. Hyderabad – 7.1 %
  10. Ludhiana – 6.5 %
  11. Ahmedabad – 6.1 %
  12. Guwahati – 5.1 %
  13. Bhopal – 4.9 %
  14. Jaipur – 2.4 %
  15. Bhubaneshwar – 2.4 %
  16. Vijaywada – 2.2 %
  17. Pune – 2 %
  18. Chennai – 0.6 %
  19. Indore – -1 %
  20. Faridabad – -5.1 %

The index for Delhi includes property transactions of Gurgaon, Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad.
